IVF with donor eggs allowed up to menopause in Bulgaria

Bulgaria has removed the age constraint of 51 years for women willing to conceive through donor eggs. According to the June amendment of Ordinance 28 on Assisted Reproduction, donor egg embryo transfers are allowed for women until they reach menopause. ‘Menopause’ means the final cessation of the menstrual cycle in a woman − if one year has passed since her last period.
