Topic created By - Moolchand Healthcare (27 December 2010 - 10:04:12) Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi, October 25, 2010:  Halima M Bello, was suffering from Nephrotic syndrome in kidney, and came to Moolchand from Nigeria for her disease management in October 2010.

Dr. Ramesh Hotchandani, Consultant, Moolchand Dialysis & Renalcare Centre who treated her said, “Halima had high BP problem since many years and came to Moolchand with a diagnosis of Nephrotic syndrome with high protein in urine named as Protein Urea (nephrotic range) from Nigeria.  Her kidneys were disturbed and body was swollen due to protein leakage.  If not treated in time, would have further damaged the kidneys.  Firstly, we did a kidney biopsy to establish the diagnosis and then root out the cause of protein urea.  After that, we put her on advance medication.”  Now, she has recovered and is under strict follow up and comes to us every six months for routine check up.

“I am feeling very strong and well, I am highly impressed with the services of Moolchand Hospital” says Halima while going back to her country.  She is satisfied with the medical treatment offered here.

About chronic kidney syndrome
Chronic kidney disease occurs when one suffers from gradual and usually permanent loss of kidney function over time.  This happens gradually, usually months to years.  With loss of kidney function, there is an accumulation of water; waste; and toxic substances, in the body, that are normally excreted by the kidney.  Loss of kidney function also causes other problems such as anemia, high blood pressure, acidosis (excessive acidity of body fluids), disorders of cholesterol and fatty acids, and bone disease.
